What did I do wrong!?

I spent nearly $300 freaking dollars on a stupid keritan treatment! I followed all the instructions to a tee and is no straighter, no less frizzy, and just as hard, if not harder, to straighten! It seems like a load of BS to me. Is there some magic secret to the keratin treatment? I tried air and blow drying, special heat sprays and serums, I used gentle shampoo. GRRRRRR!
