A Question About My Lashes.?

Well I've been using this L'or�al lash serum and I have seen my eyelshes getting fuller and sort of longer but I've also not been wearing mascara for week. Does this serum help, or do you think its a waste of time and money? Also, what's the best way to keep my eyelashes from thinning and falling out, besides not wearing makeup or curling them often? Thanxx.
