My hair looks so dull?

I own a lot of expensive hair products. I shampoo & condition with Moroccanoil products. I use Moroccanoil serum too. My hair just looks so dull. Am I supposed to be putting A LOT of serum?? I'm worried it'll look greasy but it seems that's the only way to get my hair to look really shiny?
